Auden’s Col Trek Expedition 2024

Auden's Col Trek is a challenging high-altitude trek located in the Uttarkashi District of Garhwal Region, Uttarakhand. The Auden's Col Trek is a challenging high-altitude trek in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand, India. The trek starts from the village of Gangotri, which is located about 270 km from Dehradun. Here is a day-wise guide for the Auden's Col Trek starting from Dehradun:

 

Day 1: Dehradun to Gangotri (Distance - 270 km, 8 to 9 hours)

You can hire a taxi or take a bus from Dehradun to Gangotri, which is the starting point of the trek. The drive is long and takes about 8 to 9 hours.

 

Day 2: Gangotri to Nala Camp (6 km, 4 to 5 hours)

Start the trek from Gangotri and walk along the Bhagirathi River. The trail is gradual and goes through dense forests of pine and deodar trees. Reach Nala Camp and set up camp for the night.

 

Day 3: Nala Camp to Rudugaira Base Camp (3 km, 3 to 4 hours)

The trail climbs up steeply through the forest and then opens up to a vast meadow. Walk along the Kedar Ganga River and reach Rudugaira Base Camp, which offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains.

 

Day 4: Rudugaira Base Camp to Gangotri Base Camp (4km, 4 to 5 hours)

Day 5: Gangotri Base Camp to Auden's Col Base Camp (5 km, 4 to 5 hours)

The trail climbs up steeply through the rocky terrain, and you will need to cross several moraines and streams. Reach Auden's Col Base Camp, which is situated at the foot of the Auden's Col Pass.

 

Day 6: Auden's Col Base Camp to Auden’s Col and to Khatling Glacier Camp (5 km, 10 to 12 hours)

Start your day early Cross the Auden's Col Pass, which is situated at an altitude of 5,400 meters. The pass offers stunning views of some of the highest peaks in the region. Descend down to Khatling Glacier Camp, which is situated on the banks of the Khatling Glacier.

 

Day 7: Khatling Glacier Camp to Zero Point (9 km, 8 to 9 hours)

Day 8: Zero Point to Uddar Camp (7 km, 3 to 4 hours)

Day 9: Uddar Camp to Jungle Camp (Chavni) (5 km, 3 to 4 hours)

Day 10: Jungle Camp (Chavni) to Gangi (15 km, 7 to 8 hours)

This will be last day for trek, trail descends through steep and rocky terrain. Reach Gangi – motorable village where you will stay for night.

 

Day 11: Gangi to Rishikesh (180 km, 6 to 7 hours)

This will last day of your journey, drive back to rishikesh which is around 180 km from Gangi Village.

For the Cancellation due to any reasons, Uttarakhand Guide must be notified of the same in writing at uttarakhandguide@gmail.com. At the time we receive your written cancellation statement, refunds policies will be applicable according to following conditions:

 

Cancellation before 30 days from the start of Trip

10 % will be deducted from total

 

Cancellation between 21 to 30 Days from start of Trip

35 % will be deducted

 

Cancellation between 10 to 21 Days from start of Trip

50 % will be deducted

 

Cancellation less than 10 days from start of Trip

No amount will be refunded

 

Note: After the cancellation date, the refund will be handled within 10 working days.

Cancellation fees will be determined based on the total trip cost, and they may vary depending on the date of departure and the date of cancellation.

  • For any missed/unused tour services, including meals, owing to any reason.
  • If the tour's services are changed, altered, revised, cancelled, or not used.
  • If a customer cancels or is forced to cancel the tour due to changes in the itinerary or travel
