Khurpatal Lake – Peaceful Gateway in Uttarakhand

At an elevation of 1635 m above the sea level, Khurpatal Lake is situated in District Nainital of Uttarakhand State. Surrounded of lush Green Oak and Deodar trees forest, Khurpatal - a less crowded town is a like paradise for tourists and photographers as the emerald-colored waters of this lake offer the best pictures, with backdrop as good as a postcard.

Khurpatal lake is a home to a variety of fish specially himalayn Mahasheer which make this place one of the best  fishing and angling destination in kumaon region ,uttarakhand.
