Kalinka Temple, Pauri Garhwal

At an elevation of 2090m above the sea level, the Famous Kalinka Temple dedicated to Goddess Kali is situated in Birokhal block, Pauri Garhwal District of Uttarakhand State. Surrounded by Oak, Pine and Deodar trees Forest Kalinka temple lies close to the border with Almora district of Kumaon Region. The Dome of the Temple is shaped like Lotus bud and structure of Temple is constructed or renovated around 2010 by Badiyaari Community and organization of villagers keeps the temple premises clean and are responsible for any beautification projects to be taken up in the future. Kalinka Temple Offers good view of many Himalayan Peaks such as Dudhatoli Range, Trisul Massif, Bandarpunch Range etc.

Every year, a Fair locally known as Kalinka Jatoda is held during winters that attracts thousands of Devotees and visitors every year to take blessings , it is believed that Goddess Kali fulfil all wishes of one wishes with full devotion and truthness.
