Nanda Devi Raj Jat Yatra Guide – Nanda Devi National Park

Nanda Devi Raj Jat Yatra is a famous pilgrimage and cultural festival that takes place in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, India. The yatra is held every twelve years and is considered one of the most important religious events in the region. The pilgrimage involves a 280-kilometer trek that circumambulates the Nanda Devi peak, which is believed to be the abode of the goddess Nanda Devi, a deity revered by the locals.

The Nanda Devi Raj Jat Yatra is a long and arduous trek that takes around 19 days to complete. The yatra begins in the village of Nauti and ends in Roopkund, a glacial lake located at an altitude of over 5,000 meters. Along the way, the pilgrims stop at various villages and temples, offering prayers and seeking blessings from the deities.

The yatra is not just a religious pilgrimage but also a cultural event that showcases the rich traditions and customs of the people of Uttarakhand. Day Wise Nanda Devi Raaj Jaat Yatra Trek | Nanda Raaj Jaat Yatra Trek Route 

The Nanda Devi Raj Jat Yatra is a famous trek in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand, India, which takes place once every twelve years. The trek is considered as one of the toughest treks in the world, and it covers a distance of approximately 280 kilometers.

Here is the day-wise route for the Nanda Devi Raj Jat Yatra Trek:

Day 1: Nauti - Lata Village (2317m)

Day 2: Lata Village - Lata Kharak (3689m)

Day 3: Lata Kharak - Jhangar (3900m)

Day 4: Jhangar - Bagfyana (4100m)

Day 5: Bagfyana - Budha Madhya (4500m)

Day 6: Budha Madhya - Rilkot (3000m)

Day 7: Rilkot - Bedni Bugyal (3354m)

Day 8: Bedni Bugyal - Wan Village (2436m)

The above route covers the first half of the trek. The second half of the trek covers the following route:

Day 9: Wan Village - Ghat (1334m)

Day 10: Ghat - Ramni (2550m)

Day 11: Ramni - Jhenji (3290m)

Day 12: Jhenji - Kulling (3350m)

Day 13: Kulling - Dumak (3300m)

Day 14: Dumak - Khati (2210m)

Day 15: Khati - Dwali (2575m)

Day 16: Dwali - Jatoli (3900m)

Day 17: Jatoli - Nanda Devi Base Camp (4337m)

Day 18: Nanda Devi Base Camp - Homkund (4337m)

Day 19: Homkund - Roopkund (5029m)

Day 20: Roopkund - Bedni Bugyal (3354m)

Day 21: Bedni Bugyal - Wan Village (2436m)

Note: This trek route is not official trek route for Nanda Devi Raaj Jaat Yatra. It is important to note that the route may vary depending on the weather conditions, and the trek may take longer than 21 days in case of unexpected challenges or delays.
