Gangolihat Hill Station – Pithoragarh

At an Elevation of 1760 m above the Sea Level, Gangolihat is a small Hill Town situated in Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand state. Around 78 km from Pithoragarh Headquaters, Gangolihat is a site for number of ancient temples including famous Haat Kalika Temple, Ambika Dewaal, Vaishnavi Mandir, Chamunda Mandir etc. There are many beautiful and ancient Historical underground caves in Gangolihat, few of them are Patal Bhvaneshwar, Shailashwar Gufa, and Mukteshwar gufa are most reputed by devotees. Thousands of devotees visits these places from far away places to take blessings.

Haat Kalika Temple is one of most famous temple, especially in Kumaon Region. It is believed that the Original Goddess Kalika shifted her abode from West Bengal to to Gangolihat. This temple is very popular, especially among Kumaon Regiment / Naga Regiment – Indian Army Regiment and it is beleived by our soldiers that goddess kalika always protect them and encourage them during war like situation.
