Jauljibi

Jauljibi, a small bazaar (market) situated at the confluence of Kali and Gori Rivers in India – Nepal border, Mahakali Zone, Uttarakhand. This market is divided on both sides of river, a Jhula (Suspension) bridge on Kali River has joined bazaar and the ofcourse people of both country. Jauljibi Town is very famous for its Annual Trade Fair, poluparly known as Jalujibi Mela and is held on Makar Sankranti for 10 to 15 days every year at the confluence of the Kali and Gori rivers.

Around 65 km from Pithoragarh District eadquaters, Jalujibi a place, close to  Nepal border  is not only famous for Mela but also for How a commom fair is hosted in both sides of country that gives a positive relationship from both ends.The trade fair is very popular in this region and a large volume of people come to be a part of it.Indian and Nepalese traders join the mela(fair) to sell clothes, shoes, handicrafts, carpets, horses, ghee, utensils, show piece items and many other interesting objects.

Jauljibi, located in the Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand, India, is a small town near the confluence of the Kali and Gori Rivers. Patal Bhuvaneshwar: Located approximately 107 kilometers from Jauljibi, Patal Bhuvaneshwar is a limestone cave temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. The cave system is known for its intricate rock formations and various mythological legends associated with it.

Gangolihat: Situated about 106 kilometers from Jauljibi, Gangolihat is a sacred town known for its ancient temples. The main attractions here include the Hat Kalika Temple, which is one of the Shakti Peethas, and the Chamunda Temple.

Dharchula: Dharchula is a picturesque town located around 28 kilometers from Jauljibi, near the India-Nepal border. It is known for its natural beauty and offers panoramic views of the snow-clad peaks. You can also visit the Narayan Ashram and Om Parvat, which is famous for the natural formation of the sacred Hindu symbol "Om" on the mountain.

Askot Wildlife Sanctuary: Askot Wildlife Sanctuary is known for its diverse flora and fauna. It is home to various animal species like musk deer, snow leopard, and Himalayan black bear. The sanctuary offers trekking and nature-walk opportunities.

Mirthi: Located about 26 kilometers from Jauljibi, Mirthi is a serene hill station surrounded by lush green forests. It offers beautiful views of the Kali River and the surrounding valleys. The Mirthi Mahadev Temple is a popular religious site here.

Chaukori: Chaukori is a scenic hill station situated approximately 78 kilometers from Jauljibi. It is known for its panoramic views of the Himalayan peaks and tea gardens. You can enjoy trekking, bird watching, and serene walks amidst nature here.
