Jwalpa Devi Temple – Pauri Garhwal

Situated in Pauri Grahwal District of Uttarakhand State, Jwalpa Devi Temple is a Famous ShaktiPeeth of this area dedicated to Goddess Durga and is around 34kms from Pauri on Pauri- Kotdwar motor road. A special worship is offered during Navratras’ people come from far and wide to pray for the fulfillment of wishes. Accommodation units like Tourist rest House (4 beds) and Dharamshala are available here. Temple is located on the Northern bank of river Nayar, nearby station is Satpuli around 17 km.

According to a legend and Hindu Scrpits Adi Shankaracharya visited here prayed here. Being satisfied his prayer the goddess Durga appeared here and this places is named after Jwalpa Devi.
