Brahmatal is a high altitude lake located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, India. It is situated at an elevation of 12,100 feet above sea level and is surrounded by snow-capped peaks, including Trishul and Nanda Ghunti. Brahmatal Trek is a popular winter trekking destination in Uttarakhand. The trek covers a distance of approximately 30 kilometers and can be completed in 4-5 days.

The trek starts from Lohajung and takes trekkers through dense forests, snow-covered meadows, and frozen streams. The trail to Brahmatal is known for its panoramic views of the Himalayas and the surrounding valleys. The best time to visit Brahmatal is during the winter months of December to March when the lake is frozen and the surrounding peaks are covered with snow. Day 1: Rishikesh to Lohajung

Drive from Kathgodam to Lohajung which is around 244 kilometers distance .It takes around 10-12 hours to reach Lohajung from Kathgodam which is located in Chamoli garhwal District. Stay overnight in a guesthouse and be prepare for next day

Day 2: Lohajung to Bekaltal

Trek from Lohajung to Bekaltal and you will cover total 6 kilometers trek. It takes around 4-5 hours to reach Bekaltal from Lohajung.The trail passes through dense forests and offers stunning views of the Himalayas. Stay overnight in tents near the Bekaltal Lake

Day 3: Bekaltal to Brahmatal

Trek from Bekaltal to Brahmatal is about 7 kilometers distance and it takes around 5-6 hours to reach Brahmatal from Bekaltal. The trail passes through snow-covered meadows and offers panoramic views of the Himalayas. Stay overnight in tents near the Brahmatal Lake

Day 4: Brahmatal to Daldum and back to Brahmatal

Today you will trek to Daldum top from Brahmatal and covers 12 km total trek distance. It takes around 4-5 hours to reach Daldum from Brahmatal and trail passes through dense forests and offers views of the Nanda Ghunti peak. After exploring back to Brahmatal and Stay overnight in tents

Day 5: Brahmatal to Lohajung

Day 5 will be the last day of your trek, start your trek back to Lohajung from Brahmatal. It takes around 5 to 6 hours to reach Lohajung from Brahmatal. The trail passes through lush green forests and offers views of the Trishul peak. Stay overnight in a guesthouse

Day 6: Lohajung to Rishikesh

Best Time to Visit

The best time to explore the Brahmatal trek is during the winter season, from December to March. During this time, the region receives a heavy snowfall, which transforms the entire landscape into a winter wonderland. However you can also explore Brahmatal Trel during summer months to explore green meadows surrounded by Himalayan peaks.

It is recommended not to visit Brahmatal due to the risk of landslides and heavy rainfall. Roads may blocked during monsoon and water bodies may be suometimes difficult to cross. If you are still planning to visit during monsoon season, be update with roads and weather conditions.

  9. Trek Certificate for Completion.
  10. Basic Survival Techniques in forest by using natural resources etc.

At the time of booking, full payment is required.

For the Cancellation due to any reasons, Uttarakhand Guide must be notified of the same in writing at uttarakhandguide@gmail.com. At the time we receive your written cancellation statement, refunds policies will be applicable according to following conditions:

 

Cancellation before 30 days from the start of Trip

10 % will be deducted from total

 

Cancellation between 21 to 30 Days from start of Trip

35 % will be deducted

 

Cancellation between 10 to 21 Days from start of Trip

50 % will be deducted

 

Cancellation less than 10 days from start of Trip

No amount will be refunded

 

Note: After the cancellation date, the refund will be handled within 10 working days.

Cancellation fees will be determined based on the total trip cost, and they may vary depending on the date of departure and the date of cancellation.

 

There will be no refunds:

  • For any missed/unused tour services, including meals, owing to any reason.
  • If the tour's services are changed, altered, revised, cancelled, or not used.
  • If a customer cancels or is forced to cancel the tour due to changes in the itinerary or travel
