Chipla Kedar is a beautiful trek located in the Ptihoragarh District of Kumaon region Uttarakhand, India. Chipa Kedar Top is situated at an elevation of 4700m above the sea level with beautiful mini lakes in top valle. The trek starts from the village of Banadi and takes 5 6o 6 days to complete, depending on the route taken and the pace of the trekker. Chipa Kedar Top is situated at an elevation of 4700m above the sea level with beautiful mini lakes in top valle.  Chipa Kedar Trek is a moderate to challenging trek that requires a good level of fitness and stamina. Here's a day-wise itinerary for the Chipla Kedar trek:

 

Day 1: Tanakpur to Banadi Village via Pithoragarh (Distance: 223 kilometers, Time Taken: 7 to 8 hours drive)

Start your journey to Chipla Kedar Trek from Tanakpur to Banadi Villlage via Pithoragarh which is around 223 kilometeres in distance. You can either use share taxi or hire. Overnight stay in Banadi Village or nearby stay.

 

Day 2: Banadi Village to Sukhdo Campsite (Distance: 7 kilometers, Time Taken: 6 to 7 hours trek, Altitude: 2000m to 3100m)

Day 2 will be the first Day of your Trek, start your trek early morning with healthy breakfast from Village. This Trek will be totally uphill and you will gain around 1000m altitude. After reaching Sukhdo campsite, set your tent there and rest overnight.

 

Day 3: Sukhdo Campsite to Tejamkhaya via Bhanar Temple (Distance: 10 kilometers, Time Taken: 7 to 8 hours trek, Altitude: 3100m to 3700m)

Wake up early morning and start your trek to reach Tejamkhaya via Bahar Temple. This Trek will be totally steep and takes around 7 to 8 hours to reach after trekking 10 kilometers. You will love to explore 180 degree view of Himalayan peaks and Bhanar Temple in half way. Set your tents in Tejamkhaya campsite and stay there for night.

 

Day 4: Tejamkhaya Campsite to Chipla Kedar Top and back to Campsite (Distance: 10 kilometers, Time Taken: 7 to 8 hours trek, Altitude: 3700m to 4700m)

Start your steep Trek early morning with heathy breakfast. Today you will summit to Chipla kedar Top, you will love to explore beautiful views of Himalayan peaks of Kumaon Region including Panchachuli Peak, Nanda Devi Peak, Sunanda Peak, Rajrambha, Trishul, Hardeval, Nandakot and Mactoli etc. After explore Temple and Holy Lake, start you trek back to Campsite. Overnight stay in Camsite with healty dinner.

 

Day 5: Tejamkhaya Campsite to Banadi Village (Distance: 17 kilometers, Time Taken: 5 to 6 hours trek, Altitude: 3700m to 2000m)

Today will be the last day of your trek and it will be totally downhill to reach Banadi Village. Overnight stay in village and nearby homestays.

 

Day 6: Banadi Village to Tanakpur (Distance: 223 kilometers, Time Taken: 7 to 8 hours drive)

The trek to Chipla Kedar Base Camp is a steep climb through rocky terrain. You will cross the Pachhu Glacier and then climb to the base camp, which is situated at an altitude of 4,600 meters.

The best time to explore Chipla Kedar Trek is during the summer and autumn months, from May to June and September to November. During this time, the weather is pleasant with clear skies, and the meadows are covered in lush greenery and wildflowers.

In the summer months, the temperatures range from 10°C to 20°C during the day, making it comfortable for trekking. The views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks are also clearer during this time. However, it can get chilly at night, so carrying warm clothing is necessary.

In the autumn months, the weather is dry and clear, and the temperatures range from 5°C to 15°C during the day. The autumn months are also an excellent time to witness the changing colors of the leaves and enjoy the beautiful sunsets.

  6. Expert Trek Leaders will there to Guide (Certified in basic/advanced mountaineering courses)
  7. A skilled trek crew (Guides, Chefs, Assistants, porters/mules) is available.
  8. Protective Gear (First Aid Kit, Medical Kit, Oxygen cylinders (if necessary), stretcher, etc.)
  9. Trek Certificate for Completion.
  10. Basic Survival Techniques in forest by using natural resources etc.

Cancellation Policy

At the time of booking, full payment is required.

For the Cancellation due to any reasons, Uttarakhand Guide must be notified of the same in writing at uttarakhandguide@gmail.com. At the time we receive your written cancellation statement, refunds policies will be applicable according to following conditions:

 

Cancellation before 30 days from the start of Trip

10 % will be deducted from total

 

Cancellation between 21 to 30 Days from start of Trip

35 % will be deducted

 

Cancellation between 10 to 21 Days from start of Trip

50 % will be deducted

 

Cancellation less than 10 days from start of Trip

No amount will be refunded

 

Note: After the cancellation date, the refund will be handled within 10 working days.

Cancellation fees will be determined based on the total trip cost, and they may vary depending on the date of departure and the date of cancellation.

 

There will be no refunds:

  • For any missed/unused tour services, including meals, owing to any reason.
  • If the tour's services are changed, altered, revised, cancelled, or not used.
  • If a customer cancels or is forced to cancel the tour due to changes in the itinerary or travel
