Kainchi Dham Temple

Kainchi Dham is a popular pilgrimage site located in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand, India. It is situated at an altitude of 1,400 meters and is surrounded by lush green forests and mountains.

The history of Kainchi Dham dates back to the year 1962 when the famous spiritual leader, Neem Karoli Baba, visited this place and stayed here for a few days. During his stay, he meditated and performed various spiritual practices, which attracted a large number of devotees to this place. Neem Karoli Baba is also known as Neeb Karori Baba and Maharaj-ji among his followers.

The name "Kainchi Dham" comes from the Hindi word "kainchi" which means "scissors" and "dham" which means "abode". It is believed that Neem Karoli Baba used to carry a pair of scissors with him and would often use them to cut his hair and beard.

The main attraction of Kainchi Dham is the Hanuman temple, which is dedicated to Lord Hanuman, the Hindu deity who is known for his strength, courage, and devotion. The temple is situated at the place where Neem Karoli Baba used to meditate and is surrounded by beautiful gardens and a small pond.
