Nag Tibba Trek 2024 – One of the Best Treks for Beginners

Nag Tibba is a popular trekking destination located in the Tehri Garhwal region of Uttarakhand, India. It is a relatively easy trek and is ideal for beginners, offering stunning views of the Himalayas and the surrounding valleys. The trek starts from the village of Pantwari, which is located about 85 km from Dehradun. The trek duration is two days, covering a total distance of 10 km (5 km each way).

The Nag Tibba trek route passes through dense forests, scenic meadows, and traditional villages. It offers stunning views of the Himalayas, including Bandarpoonch, Kedarnath, and Gangotri. The maximum altitude reached during the trek is around 9,915 feet. There are several camping sites along the trek route, offering basic facilities like tents and sleeping bags.

The best time to visit Nag Tibba is from April to June and September to December. During these months, the weather is pleasant and ideal for trekking. No special permits are required for the trek. However, it is advisable to inform the local authorities before embarking on the trek.

Nag Tibba is a popular trekking destination located in the Tehri Garhwal region of Uttarakhand, India. It is a relatively easy trek and is ideal for beginners, offering stunning views of the Himalayas and the surrounding valleys. Here is a day-wise itinerary for Nag Tibba trek via Dehradun:

 

Day 1: Arrival in Dehradun Arrive in Dehradun by early morning flight or train. You will be greeted by our representative at the airport or railway station and transferred to the hotel. You can spend the day exploring the city or relaxing in your hotel room.

Day 2: Dehradun to Pantwari After breakfast, we will drive from Dehradun to Pantwari, which is the starting point of Nag Tibba trek. The drive takes around 3-4 hours. On arrival, we will start the trek and hike for around 4-5 hours through dense forests, waterfalls, and meadows. We will reach our campsite in the evening, where we will have dinner and spend the night in tents.

Day 3: Nag Tibba Summit After breakfast, we will start our trek to Nag Tibba summit, which is about 5 km from the campsite. It takes around 3-4 hours to reach the summit, which is located at an altitude of 9,915 ft. From the summit, you can witness the panoramic views of the Himalayas, including Bandarpoonch, Swargarohini, Kedarnath, and Gangotri peaks. After spending some time at the summit, we will trek back to the campsite for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Pantwari to Dehradun After breakfast, we will trek back to Pantwari, which takes around 3-4 hours. From Pantwari, we will drive back to Dehradun, where you can spend the evening exploring the city or shopping for souvenirs.

Day 5: Departure from Dehradun After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to the airport or railway station for your onward journey.

Pantwari Village is from where Nag Tibba Trek Starts and total trek distance is about 10 km from Pantwari village to Nag Tibba Summit. Pantwari village is well connected with motorable roads ans neary towns and cities.

The best time to explore Nag Tibba trek is from April to June and then from September to November. During summer months, the weather is pleasant, and the temperatures range between 10°C to 25°C. The clear skies and cool breeze make for a great trekking experience.

The monsoon season starts in July and lasts till August, and it is not recommended to trek during this time due to the possibility of landslides and slippery trails. If you are still planning to visit Nag Tibba, be update with roads and weather condition.

Nag Tibba trek can also be done in winters, but it is only recommended for experienced trekkers who are familiar with trekking in cold and snowy conditions.   3. At Camps, Bonfire will be provided according to weather conditions.
  4. For the Trek, there is fees for trekking permits and forest campsites.
  5. Trekking Supplies (Tents, Sleeping Bags, Ice Axes, Ropes, etc.)
  6. Expert Trek Leaders will there to Guide (Certified in basic/advanced mountaineering courses)
  7. A skilled trek crew (Guides, Chefs, Assistants, porters/mules) is available.
  8. Protective Gear (First Aid Kit, Medical Kit, Oxygen cylinders (if necessary), stretcher, etc.)
  9. Trek Certificate for Completion.
  10. Basic Survival Techniques in forest by using natural resources etc.

Cancellation Policy

At the time of booking, full payment is required.

For the Cancellation due to any reasons, Uttarakhand Guide must be notified of the same in writing at uttarakhandguide@gmail.com. At the time we receive your written cancellation statement, refunds policies will be applicable according to following conditions:

 

Cancellation before 30 days from the start of Trip

10 % will be deducted from total

 

Cancellation between 21 to 30 Days from start of Trip

35 % will be deducted

 

Cancellation between 10 to 21 Days from start of Trip

50 % will be deducted

 

Cancellation less than 10 days from start of Trip

No amount will be refunded

 

Note: After the cancellation date, the refund will be handled within 10 working days.

Cancellation fees will be determined based on the total trip cost, and they may vary depending on the date of departure and the date of cancellation.

 

There will be no refunds:

  • For any missed/unused tour services, including meals, owing to any reason.
  • If the tour's services are changed, altered, revised, cancelled, or not used.
  • If a customer cancels or is forced to cancel the tour due to changes in the itinerary or travel
