Saptkund Trek

Sapt Kund is a high-altitude trek located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, India. The trek is known for its seven high-altitude glacial lakes, which are believed to have religious significance. The Saptkund trek is one of the less known trekking route in the Uttarakhand region of India. It typically takes around 7-8 days to complete the trek. Here is a day-wise route from Rishikesh:

 

 Day 1: Rishikesh to Ramni Village

  • Start your day to drive early in the morning from Rishikesh to Ramni Village (about 250 km).
  • Either you can drive or take share taxi or bus till Ramni Village, Chamoli Garhwal, Uttarakhand
  • Overnight stay in Ramni Village.

 

Day 2: Ramni Village to Dhouldhari

  • Start your Day 2 uphill trek from Ramni Village to Dhouldhari
  • The trek is moderately steep and takes around 3-4 hours to complete.
  • Explore beautiful Rhododendron, Oak, Deodar, Pine trees forest and Snow Capped Himalayan Peaks
  • Overnight stay in Dhouldhari

 

Day 3: Dhouldhari to Patharkunia

  • Day 3 Trek Starts from Dhouldhari and ends to patharkunia
  • Overnight stay in Patharkunia

 

Day 4: Patharkunia to Simbi Bugyal

  • Day 4 trek will connect you with Simbi Bugyal to Patharkunia, Simbe Bugyal is one of the best camping sites of this trek. This is a beautiful meadow covered with a wide variety of colourful Himalayan flowers.
  • Overnight Stay in Simbi Bugyal

 

Day 5: Simbi Bugyal to Saptkund Lake and back to Saptkund Bugyal

  • Day 5 trek will connect you with Saptkund Lake. The lake offers one of the most pristine and calming views and makes all your effort of reaching there worth it.
  • Trek back to Saptkund Bugyal and Overnight Stay there.

 

Day6: Saptkund Bugyal to Jhinji Village

  • Trek back to Jhinji Village from Saptkund Bugyal, you will love to explore this beautiful Jhinji Village and their local culture
  • Overnight stay in Jhinji Village

 

Day 7: Jhinji Village to Rishikesh

  • Drive back to Rishikesh from Devgram Village

Saptkund is a high-altitude lake located in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. The best time to visit Saptkund is during the summer months of May to June and September to October, when the weather is pleasant and the lake is accessible. Lake is situated at an elevation of 5000m and more above the sea level so temperature changes suddenly, be prepare for weather conditions.

During winters from October to April month, trek remains closed due to heavy snowfall and extreme weather conditions.

  1. During the trek, there will be places to stay in Camps or Tents (Camping)
  2. At Trek, all meals will be provided ( Healthy Food)
  3. At Camps, Bonfire will be provided according to weather conditions.
  4. For the Trek, there is fees for trekking permits and forest campsites.
  5. Trekking Supplies (Tents, Sleeping Bags, Ice Axes, Ropes, etc.)
  6. Expert Trek Leaders will there to Guide (Certified in basic/advanced mountaineering courses)
  7. A skilled trek crew (Guides, Chefs, Assistants, porters/mules) is available.
  8. Protective Gear (First Aid Kit, Medical Kit, Oxygen cylinders (if necessary), stretcher, etc.)
  9. Trek Certificate for Completion.
  10. Basic Survival Techniques in forest by using natural resources etc.

Cancellation Policy

At the time of booking, full payment is required.

For the Cancellation due to any reasons, Uttarakhand Guide must be notified of the same in writing at uttarakhandguide@gmail.com. At the time we receive your written cancellation statement, refunds policies will be applicable according to following conditions:

 

Cancellation before 30 days from the start of Trip

10 % will be deducted from total

 

Cancellation between 21 to 30 Days from start of Trip

35 % will be deducted

 

Cancellation between 10 to 21 Days from start of Trip

50 % will be deducted

 

Cancellation less than 10 days from start of Trip

No amount will be refunded

 

Note: After the cancellation date, the refund will be handled within 10 working days.

Cancellation fees will be determined based on the total trip cost, and they may vary depending on the date of departure and the date of cancellation.

 

There will be no refunds:

  • For any missed/unused tour services, including meals, owing to any reason.
  • If the tour's services are changed, altered, revised, cancelled, or not used.
  • If a customer cancels or is forced to cancel the tour due to changes in the itinerary or travel
