At an elevation of 1126m from the Sea Level, Baijnath Temple is situated on the bank of Gomti River in the Bageshwar District of Uttarakhand. These Historical ancient temples of Baijnath are said to be built by Katyuri King during 1150 AD. Baijnath Town was the capital of Katyuri kings at that time, they ruled around from 7th to 11th century AD and named this place as Kartikeyapura.
