Borasu Pass Trek 2024

The Borasu Pass Trek is a trekking trail located in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, India. Here is a day-wise itinerary for the Borasu Pass Trek:

 

Day 1: Dehradun to Sankri (2000 m)

Drive from Dehradun to Sankri, which takes about 8-9 hours. Overnight stay in a guesthouse.

 

Day 2: Sankri to Taluka (1900 m)

Drive from Sankri to Taluka, which takes about an hour. Start trekking from Taluka to Seema (2560 m), which is a 14 km trek that takes around 5-6 hours. Overnight stay in a guesthouse or camping.

 

Day 3 Taluka to Seema Village

Start your Day 3 Trek from Taluka to Seema Village which is around 14 km at distance and takes 4 to 5 hours. You will love to explore river side valley. Set your tent in village or rest in Homestay for night.

 

Day 3: Seema to Har ki Dun

Trek from Seema to har ki Dun Valley, which is a 13 km trek that takes around 4-5 hours. Overnight stay in a campsite.

 

Day 4: Har ki Dun to Ratha Tho

Trek from Har ki Dun to Ratha Tho, which is 5 km trek that takes around 4-5 hours. Overnight stay in a campsite.

 

Day 5: Ratha Tho to Upper Lanjunga

Start your trek early morning from Ratha Tho to Upper Lanjunga which is around 6 km at distance and takes 5 to 6 hours to cover. From here you will enter in snow fall zone and snow patches. Over night stay in Campsite

 

Day 6: Upper Lanjunga to Bonga via Borasu Pass

Today you will experience amazing view of Himalayan peaks while entering in Himachal Pradesh via Boras Pass to reach Bonga Campsite. You will cross Glaciel boulders, rocky trails and snow patches then to follow River Baspa Trail.

 

Day 7: Bonga Campsite to Chitkul via Doria Campsite

Today’s Trek will be the last day of your trek to reach Chitkul in Himachal Pradesh via Dira Campsite. From Chitkul you can connect with nearby towns and cities to reach your destination.

The best time to explore Borasu Pass Trek is during the summer months, from May to June, and during the post-monsoon season, from September to November. During these months, the weather is generally pleasant, with clear skies and moderate temperatures. The summer months are ideal for trekking as the snow has melted, making the trail more accessible.

The winter months, from December to February, are not recommended for trekking as the temperatures drop below freezing, and the trail is covered in snow. The monsoon season, from July to August, should also be avoided as heavy rainfall can make the trek difficult and dangerous. If you are still planning to visit during monsoon, be update with roads and weather condition.

  3. At Camps, Bonfire will be provided according to weather conditions.
  4. For the Trek, there is fees for trekking permits and forest campsites.
  5. Trekking Supplies (Tents, Sleeping Bags, Ice Axes, Ropes, etc.)
  6. Expert Trek Leaders will there to Guide (Certified in basic/advanced mountaineering courses)
  7. A skilled trek crew (Guides, Chefs, Assistants, porters/mules) is available.
  8. Protective Gear (First Aid Kit, Medical Kit, Oxygen cylinders (if necessary), stretcher, etc.)
  9. Trek Certificate for Completion.
  10. Basic Survival Techniques in forest by using natural resources etc.

Cancellation Policy

At the time of booking, full payment is required.

For the Cancellation due to any reasons, Uttarakhand Guide must be notified of the same in writing at uttarakhandguide@gmail.com. At the time we receive your written cancellation statement, refunds policies will be applicable according to following conditions:

 

Cancellation before 30 days from the start of Trip

10 % will be deducted from total

 

Cancellation between 21 to 30 Days from start of Trip

35 % will be deducted

 

Cancellation between 10 to 21 Days from start of Trip

50 % will be deducted

 

Cancellation less than 10 days from start of Trip

No amount will be refunded

 

Note: After the cancellation date, the refund will be handled within 10 working days.

Cancellation fees will be determined based on the total trip cost, and they may vary depending on the date of departure and the date of cancellation.

 

There will be no refunds:

  • For any missed/unused tour services, including meals, owing to any reason.
  • If the tour's services are changed, altered, revised, cancelled, or not used.
  • If a customer cancels or is forced to cancel the tour due to changes in the itinerary or travel
