Gulabi Kantha Trek – Less Explored Trek in Uttarkashi

Gulabi Kantha is a popular trekking destination in Uttarakhand, India. It is located in the Uttarkashi district in Garhwal Region, and the trek takes you through picturesque meadows, dense forests, beautiful Meadows and mountainous terrain. The trek begins at Hanuman Chatti, a small village located in National Highway towards Yamunotri Dham. From here, you start your ascent towards the Gulabi Kantha meadow, which is located at an altitude of 3,580 meters. One can cover this trek within tthree (3) days ad the  trail takes you through dense oak and pine forests, with occasional clearings that offer stunning views of the surrounding mountains.

You will love to explore on the way village Nisini and camp site Seema Thatch where you can stay in beautiful Authentic Homestays or can set your tents to stay for night. The meadow itself is a vast expanse of greenery, with a small stream running through it. From here, you can also catch a glimpse of the Bandarpoonch and Swargarohini peaks, which are considered sacred by the locals.

The trek is suitable for both beginners and experienced trekkers, and the best time to explore Gulabi Kantha Trek is from April to June and from September to November. Gulabi Kantha is one of the less explored treks or unexplored treks in Uttarakhand and is a must-visit destination for anyone who loves trekking and wants to explore the natural beauty of the Himalayas. Drive from Dehradun to Hanuman Chatti which is around 173 kilometers distance. You can also hire taxi or use sharing bus to reach hanuman chatti.

Day 2: Hanuman chatti to Seema Thatch (10 kilometers, 5 to 6 hours Trek)

If you love to explore in winters and want to experience snowfall and snow around, best time to visit Gulabi Kantha trek during winters is from December to March month.

At the time of booking, full payment is required.

For the Cancellation due to any reasons, Uttarakhand Guide must be notified of the same in writing at uttarakhandguide@gmail.com. At the time we receive your written cancellation statement, refunds policies will be applicable according to following conditions:

 

Cancellation before 30 days from the start of Trip

10 % will be deducted from total

 

Cancellation between 21 to 30 Days from start of Trip

35 % will be deducted

 

Cancellation between 10 to 21 Days from start of Trip

50 % will be deducted

 

Cancellation less than 10 days from start of Trip

No amount will be refunded

 

Note: After the cancellation date, the refund will be handled within 10 working days.

Cancellation fees will be determined based on the total trip cost, and they may vary depending on the date of departure and the date of cancellation.

 

There will be no refunds:

  • For any missed/unused tour services, including meals, owing to any reason.
  • If the tour's services are changed, altered, revised, cancelled, or not used.
  • If a customer cancels or is forced to cancel the tour due to changes in the itinerary or travel
