Niti is the last village in the valley before the Indo-Tibet south border, Niti pass located at an elevation of 5800m above the sea level that connects India-Tibet and was an ancient trade route between Tibet and India, it was sealed after the 1962 Indo-china war. Since after, border has remained sealed.
