Mana – First Indian Village

At an elevation of 3200m above the sea level, Mana Village is situated in Chamoli Garhwal district of Uttarakhand State. Mana is the first village after the Mana Pass and is 26 kilometres from India – Tiber Border, the village is at a distance of about 5 km from Badrinath Dham Temple. Mana Village is very famous destination among tourists as visitors excites to take pictures at first Village of India, this place is surrounded by beautiful Badrinath Valley and snow-capped Himalayan Peaks and holy river Alaknanda flowing by side that attracts mostly nature lovers.

Local people of Mana Village or Badrinath Valley are known as Bhotiyas and their employment mostly depends on seasonal market by selling local food items, serving as guide, serving as trekker etc during May to October month, during winter months, the entire populations comes down to lower places, as the area is covered under snow.
